Official rules

These rules cover every SolDraft NFL contest: tournaments, double ups, head-to-head matches, and freerolls. The contest page shows the buy-in, the field size, and the payout table that applies if the contest locked at that moment. If these rules and a contest page ever disagree about a number, the table on the contest page at lock is the one that pays.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. Where a paid fantasy or crypto contest requires 21, you must be 21. Contests are void where prohibited.

Residents of jurisdictions that restrict paid daily fantasy or contests settled in crypto are not eligible. You are responsible for knowing whether you may enter from where you live. SolDraft does not give legal advice about your location.

No purchase necessary

The Thursday Night Freeroll is free. You do not buy a product, pay an entry fee, or send SOL into the prize vault to enter. Connecting a wallet and submitting one lineup is enough. No purchase is necessary, and buying nothing changes your odds.

Paid contests are separate. Entering a tournament, double up, or head-to-head match requires the posted entry fee. You never have to enter a paid contest to play the freeroll.

One entry per wallet

Every contest allows one entry per wallet. A second lineup from the same wallet is rejected, in the app and on-chain.

One person using several wallets to take more than one entry in the same contest can be disqualified. The extra entries can be removed and their prizes withheld or returned under the fair-play section.

Contest types

  • Tournament. A larger field. At least 10 entries, and at most 100 (50 when the buy-in is 1 SOL). The paid places depend on how many entries are in at lock.
  • Double up. At least 4 entries and at most 50. About half the field is paid, and those places split the prize pool evenly, near 2× the entry.
  • Head-to-head. Exactly two entries at the same slate and buy-in. The winner takes 95% of the pot (1.9×). An open match accepts the next wallet; if none is open, a new one starts.
  • Freeroll. Free to enter, one lineup per wallet, and no protocol fee. The Thursday Night Freeroll is the sponsored freeroll described below. Any other free contest shows its own prize and table before you enter.

Entry and escrow

Paid entry fees sit in that contest's escrow until settlement. If the contest runs, the pot splits like this:

  • 95% is paid to the winning entries.
  • 2.5% funds later free-tournament prize pools.
  • 2.5% buys the SolDraft token and burns it.

The 2.5% slices are the 5% protocol fee, split in half. There is no treasury share. Amounts are whole lamports. The fee is the pot times 500 / 10,000, and winners keep any lamport that division drops. Buyback is the fee times 5,000 / 10,000. The free-tournament pool receives the rest of the fee, including the extra lamport when the fee is odd. Those three amounts add up to the pot.

The fee is taken only when a contest runs. A contest that cancels refunds every entry in full, fee included.

Freerolls charge no entry fee and take no protocol fee. The Thursday Night Freeroll pays winners from the prize SOL deposited for that contest. A weekly free contest can instead use a snapshot of the free-tournament pool. If that contest locks with fewer than 10 entries, it rolls over and the snapshot stays in the pool. Otherwise it pays the top 20% of the field, at least 3 places and at most 20, using the tournament curve scaled to the snapshot. Nothing is skimmed for buyback.

While deposits are simulated, a paid entry is recorded against your wallet and no SOL moves. The same split is what the receipt will show when deposits are live.

Lineups and the salary cap

Each lineup has nine slots: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, and DST. The salary cap is $50,000. A lineup over the cap cannot be submitted. Scoring is Classic full point-per-reception. The point values are on the Scoring page. The same table is used for the practice slate and for a live stats feed.

Two wallets may submit the same players. Identical lineups are allowed.

Lock times

A contest locks at the time on its page, which is the first kickoff on that slate. Thursday night contests lock at that game's kickoff. You cannot edit or enter after lock.

The payout table is fixed at lock from the entries actually in. The contest page shows "If it locked now" and the full table for the current field, plus the max prize pool and the current prize pool, until that moment.

Minimum entries and cancellations

If a contest has fewer entries than its minimum at lock, it is cancelled. Paid entries are refunded in full from escrow. The protocol fee is not taken.

  • Tournament minimum: 10 entries.
  • Double up minimum: 4 entries.
  • Head-to-head: both entries must be in. A match that never fills does not start.
  • Thursday Night Freeroll minimum: 3 entries. Below that, the contest is cancelled and the deposited prize stays in the vault for the admin to reclaim. Entrants paid nothing, so there is no entry to refund.

Payout tables by field size

Tournament prizes are a share of the 95% prize pool. The share depends on how many entries are in at lock. Each band below adds to 100%. At the smallest field in the band, the last paid place is at least 1.2× the entry fee. On a 70-entry tournament that means places 11–20 pay 1.81% and 1st pays 24.9%, one tenth of a percent off the round 25 / 1.8 table, so the last place still clears 1.2×.

A double up pays floor(entries × 0.95 / 2) places. Those places split the 95% prize pool in equal lamports. A head-to-head winner receives the entire 95%.

Freeroll prize

The Thursday Night Freeroll advertises $1,000 paid in SOL. The prize pool is the SOL actually deposited into that contest's prize vault. The SOL amount is fixed when it is funded. A later token price does not change how much SOL winners receive. Top-ups before settlement add to that same vault and become part of the pool.

The field cap is 40 entries, one per wallet. At a full field of 40, the top 8 places share the deposited SOL:

1st30%
2nd20%
3rd14%
4th10%
5th8%
6th7%
7th6%
8th5%

If the field locks below 40 but with at least 3 entries, SolDraft pays the top 20% of entrants, and at least 3 places. Those places use the first rows of the table above, scaled so they still add to 100% of the deposited SOL. Fewer than 3 entries cancels the contest. Unpaid SOL, including a cancelled vault, can be reclaimed by the admin only after settlement or cancellation. No protocol fee is taken.

Ties

Tied scores pool the prizes for the places those entries occupy and split that pool evenly. Any leftover lamport goes to the earliest of the tied entries.

That rule covers tournaments, double ups, head-to-head matches, and freerolls. In a double up, a tie on the bubble includes the unpaid spot those entries occupy, so the tied group splits only the prizes those places actually pay. A tied head-to-head splits the 95% prize. An earlier entry does not win a tie outright.

Stat corrections and settlement

Live scores can move until the slate is final. A stats correction that arrives before settlement is applied. Settlement runs after every game on the slate is final, pays from the amounts locked at lock time, and is written once. A second run does not pay again.

The Thursday Night Freeroll pays winners from its prize vault on-chain. Paid contests pay from contest escrow. While paid deposits are off, paid receipts are simulated and use the same numbers.

Disqualification and fair play

SolDraft may reject or remove an entry that breaks these rules, including a second entry from the same person, a lineup that could not have been submitted under the cap, or activity that interferes with scoring or settlement. A disqualified paid entry is refunded unless the entry itself was the abuse. Prizes already paid from a disqualified entry can be reclaimed from that wallet when the program can do so.

Wallets and taxes

You are responsible for the wallet you connect, for keeping the keys, and for any tax on prizes or refunds. SolDraft does not withhold taxes and does not custody your wallet. Sending a seed phrase or private key to anyone, including anyone claiming to be SolDraft, is never part of entry or settlement.

Changes to these rules

SolDraft can update these rules. The version on this page is the current one. A change does not reopen a contest that already locked. Entering a contest after a change means you accept the rules then posted. Material changes are posted here before they apply to new contests.

Contact

These rules are published at soldraft.io/rules. Questions about a contest go to the operator through the contact method published on soldraft.io. Include the contest name and your wallet address. Do not include a seed phrase, private key, or recovery phrase.
